This exciting new line was premiered at the FALL COMDEX in Las Vegas and will start shipping in January of 2000.
Attendees to the MediaFORM product preview greeted the new and enhanced product offerings with extremely positive reactions. The enhanced CD DIRECTOR headlined the showing with all of its original power along with announcements for the integration of the latest professional grade duplication writer, the 12X SmartDRIVE 2 (available in January 2000). MediaFORM also demonstrated SmartPRINT, the newest feature on the DIRECTOR, enabling pin-point accurate printing on pre-silk screened media. The DIRECTOR also boasts MediaFORM's exclusive "EASI-API" which makes for very simple integration of your application to the CD DIRECTOR interface. CD DIRECTOR is MediaFORM's top of the line, network ready, CD-R imaging, mastering and integrated duplication/printing solution. The JAVA based browser interface allows for local as well as remote client access from a variety of operating systems.
The all new 3703 Eclipse series of integrated stations truly answers the need for a low cost yet powerful NT based duplication and printing system. The Eclipse is available with either the inkjet docking station which accommodates the Primera Signature III printer and incorporates SmartDRY, a user selectable drying station for dense print images (Model 3703i) alternatively the Thermal docking station accommodates the popular Rimage PR13C Thermal transfer printer (Model 3703t).
The MediaFORM CD-5916 rounded out the product showcase; this workhorse is capable of duplicating up to 16 CD-Rs simultaneously without the need of a PC. It comes preconfigured with eight or sixteen CD writers. The system is equipped with an A/V hard drive, allowing you to write your images to the hard drive while a first set of copies is made and subsequently duplicating from your choice of local images on the hard drive.
The MediaFORM PROFESSIONAL GRADE SmartDRIVE2, which allows stamping of Audio as well as Data Discs is an industry first! SmartDRIVE2 includes 12X compatibility and optional low cost field upgrade on MediaFORM hardware when 12X approved media is used. SmartDRIVE2 will have the ability to produce copy-protected CD-Rs along with incorporating all of the advanced features of the original 8X SmartDRIVE.
