Prassi's CD-Recording Engine Powers VERITAS Software's New CD-mastering Software

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2000--Prassi Europe SARL today announced that VERITAS Software has licensed Prassi Europe's Px Engine for CD-R and CD-RW mastering software.

Prassi's Px Engine is embedded in VERITAS MyCD and VERITAS MyCD Pro, VERITAS Software's new CD-recording line designed for the Microsoft Windows desktop market. VERITAS Software plans to deploy the Prassi Px Engine across the entire spectrum of its CD-R/CD-RW software, including the OEM and retail markets. The Prassi/VERITAS Software relationship broadens the base of support for Prassi's CD-recording technology by leveraging the marketing and engineering resources of VERITAS Software, a leader in data availability.
